HR Intern


Job Description:

Provide support to the Human Resource department in all functional areas, which may include coordination of recruitment and employment activities, attendance, personnel records, benefit administration and various HR administrative duties. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all aspects of the recruiting process; updating job descriptions, posting recruitment ads, interviews, orientation and related activities.
  • Track attendance for all employees per our Custom Profile Attendance Policy and prepare attendance reports for the supervisors on a daily basis.
  • Help organize and/or oversee company/community service events.
  • Complete necessary new hire paperwork, submit required paperwork to necessary agencies and update IQMS as needed.
  • Maintain employee records
  • Answer employee questions as they come up.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it more efficient, safety and an enjoyable place to work.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Desire to work in Human Resources

Strength in the following areas required:
  • Microsoft Office experience (word, outlook, excel)
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection and closed-toe shoes must be worn on the production floor.
