Human Resource Internship

SUMMARY
Perform a variety of duties supporting the Human Resource Department. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in employee onboarding process
Assist in Payroll processing
Assist in auditing HRIS system
Assist in administering bank’s Wellness Program
Assist with Affirmative Action Plan data gathering
Assist with recruiting at college campuses with an emphasis on diversity candidates
Assist in preparing for Benefit Open Enrollment meetings
Assist with updating Bank’s HR intranet pages
Assist with Internal Training workshop preparation
Participate in candidate interviews and give feedback on candidates
Assist with tracking of employee training
Assist with bulk mailings
Update job postings/promotions spreadsheets
Employee file scanning
Assist with 401(K) Administration
Other duties and projects as requested
 
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be seeking four year degree in Human Resource Management. Needs to have completed sophomore year with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred. 
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate in MS Office including Word, Excel, & Power Point. Must be comfortable navigating the web and using web-based research tools
Must be able to learn quickly and be willing to take initiative
Good organization and self-motivation skills 
Candidates with experience in multi-cultural community service programs are highly sought
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. 
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
